Paul tops “Twitter growth”

with 2 comments

In the month of December, Presidential candidate Ron Paul outstretched all others in growth of Twitter followers at 30.05%, with Rick Santorum at 24.69%. Coming in last was Gingrich with 1.79% growth.

If Twitter growth is any indicator of “buzz,” the study effectively demonstrates the implosion of the Gingrich campaign, in spite of the fact that Gingrich had more Twitter followers than all other Republican candidates combined. The Twitter surge also likely indicates the recent rallying of Evangelical Republicans around Santorum and  the Blue Republican movement formed behind Paul.

  1. Santorum seems to be the new momentum gainer. Based on your previous posts your a big time Paul fan what do you think of other super conservatives in the GOP lineup?

    • My response to the others in the lineup is apathy. Romney offers a business-owner flavor, Santorum offers an Evangelical flavor, Perry offers a Bush flavor — of essentially the same policies.
